In our tests, we use this gazetteer to correct geographic data from a big sample (around 142,000 occurrence records of Amazonian specimens) from SpeciesLink, a big repository of biodiversity collection records from Brazil.
DNA, specimen and image vouchers of newly sequenced material (49 specimens) were deposited at the Justus Liebig University's Systematics and Biodiversity collection (UGSB); data on other specimens (59 COI and 37 16sequenceses) was retrieved from NCBI GenBank (Table 1).
