There is no evidence that filamin and α-actinin interact directly, but they simultaneously interact with F-actin, with similar association and dissociation rates, at different actin binding regions with little evidence of competition [12], while other auxiliary proteins such as tropomyosin [13] and talin [10] compete for these sites.
