This chapter surveys the various binding modes and the resulting structures that have been observed for the large number of different carboxylate ligands, which have been used in this chemistry.
The protein ligand docking study demonstrated that the target compounds have special binding modes and these results are in agreement with the kinetic study.

Comparison of the two crystal structures, H3K4me3-JMJD2A-tudor and H4K20me3-JMJD2A-tudor, indicates that the tails have different binding modes and adapt opposite orientations [16], [17].
