Several mutant enzymes had altered binding affinity for ssDNA.
Rad52 has greater binding affinity for ssDNA than dsDNA (46, 47) and appears to have two separate binding sites for each in the N-terminus of Rad52 (48).

These data support the notion that the RRM domain of HvGR-RBP1 exhibits micromolar binding affinity for 6nt ssDNA targets in these in vitro experiments.
