The results of analysis of Pb isotopic compositions showed that in the profile, the binary mixing of two major Pb sources (parent material and vehicle exhaust), the contribution rates were 78.29% and 21.71% on average, respectively.
As a result, it is revealed that the binary mixing of helium, which has favorable thermophysical properties but the density, with a heavier noble gas or an unreactive gas significantly reduces the required circulation power by an order of magnitude with meeting the thermal design requirements.
Indeed, the δ 18Osw values and salinity of the shallow seawater (0 100 m) are strongly correlated, indicating that the data can be explained by a binary mixing of freshwater and saline seawater (Fig. 4).
