This database contains demographic information, diagnosis and procedure codes (recorded using the International Classification of Diseases, 9th Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM) format) and billed transaction and utilization data which are mapped to standardized Clinical Transaction Classification (CTC) codes.
Ninety percent of the estimated 12 billion business-to-business billing transactions in North America are done on paper, with about 10percentt handled electronically, said Joseph Mullen, the chief operating officer at Bottomline Technologies Inc., a company in Portsmouth, N.H., that acquired NetTransact from Northern Trust.
