The agricultural injection significantly increases average household income in Iraq (by 11.6 %), by a proportion that exceeds the ratio between the injection and the value added of the economy (below 10%%)—reflecting the relative detachment of household income from the generation of value added in the oil extraction sector commented in Sect.
Here the value added of top management is low indeed.
What is the value added of supervision and implementation support?
The EPC overcomes the above limitations of the NPC, measuring the degree of protection as the ratio between the value added in the presence of market distortions, i.e. the net income actually received by farmers, and the value added in the absence of market distortion, i.e. when inputs and outputs are valued at their economic parity prices7.
