Negative correlations were calculated between the total contents of Pb, Ni and Cd of the plant tissues and the corresponding dry weights of the shoots.
There was no significant difference between genotypes in the total content of insulin per islet (Fig. 2f), indicating that the phenotype results from a defect in insulin secretion rather than insulin synthesis.
