The score density plots (Figure 11) indicate the proposed method effectively reduces the overlap between the genuine and the impostor score distributions, which also reduces the classification errors.
From the score density plot (Figure 2), it is evident that with the increase in noise, the overlap between the genuine and the impostor distribution curves increases.
The parasite score density in the faecal specimens observed ranged between 1.50 for Trichuris trichiura whilst highest parasite score density was found among multiple infections with Entamoeba histolytica and Ascaris lumbricoides with 2.63.
In our experiments, we analysed the correlation (based on Kendall's Tau) between the density score and RMSD to the native.
From these data it is clear that, for the majority of decoy sets in the Rosetta Tsai collection, the enrichment with near-native structures significantly increases the correlation observed between the density score and the distance to the native.
Changes in efficiency can be explored further by attempting to understand the association between the score and possible determinants such as population density and poverty levels.
