The data represent between 2 and 5 independent experiments.
Finally, by integrating large and disparate datasets, gene-level distinctions can be made between the different biological states that the data represents.
We used only part of the data, representing the time between September 11 , 2001and May 17, 2004 (the period covered by our previous research) as a test sample to determine the parameter values in our fine-tuning analysis.
Whatever the explanation for these discrepancies, it is noteworthy that the total number of discrepancies between the FISH and RH data represent 3% of the total data.
While model B reduces the spread of the data compared to model A, a strong, broadly linear correlation between the two years' data is only clearly apparent in the output from model C. The overall correlation between the two years' data represented in Figure 5C is 0.66 or 66% (see Table 2).

Multiple regression analysis was performed to analyze the existence of linear relationship between biological data represented by Shannon diversity indexes, Simpson diversity index and other biotic indices (bird community) and the environmental variables by stepwise forward selection method to select the best environmental predictors using STATISTICA® software package version 7.1.
However, between-sample (bs) data represent the response group value better, since it is obtained using all 60 sequences from each group.
