Examination of the ten genes on either side of each CCA gene cluster (or to the end of the assembly scaffold) revealed no shared synteny, and BLAST2Seq pairwise searches of the intergenic regions revealed no meaningful similarity between the clusters from each species with the longest hit limited to 14 bp and the lowest Expect value only 0.045.
