Assay 2 gave less than a two-fold difference between the average transcript levels for the two groups of individuals, regardless of the pair of primers that was used (Table 4).
By organizing the Kunitz peptides from the I. ricinus transcriptome into specific groups, we were also able to visualize specific profiles occurring in the transcript reads among the four independent cDNA libraries, suggesting that there may be a correlation between the average transcript read value and putative function for each group.

We will show that there is a roughly linear relationship between the average half life (HL) of the transcripts, clustered according to expression or function, and the phase at which their concentration peaks in the cycle.
