Since no difference between hemispheres was found (main effect of hemisphere: F1,9 = 0.19, p = 0.67; interaction: F3,27 = 0.36, p = 0.78), data of both hemispheres were pooled.
Recordings were made in both hemispheres but, since no difference between hemispheres was found, data of both hemispheres were pooled (see Materials and Methods).
The sources of tone100 were on average 6 mm (p < 0.009, Bonferroni-corrected paired t-test) more anterior in the RH than the LH; in inferior superior or medial lateral directions no differences between the hemispheres were found.

No difference in BBB transport of L-DOPA between the control and rotenone-treated responder cerebral hemisphere were found.
In the time windows where significant differences between the conditions were found, planned paired t-tests in each of the ROI and hemisphere were performed (see Fig. 5).
Negative correlations between FA and FCR were found in multiple white matter pathways of the lesioned hemisphere, including parts of the CST, suggesting that greater damage to these regions of the lesioned hemisphere was associated with greater relative reliance on ipsilateral functional connectivity from the contralesional hemisphere to the paretic leg (Supplementary information, results).
