In other words, genetic differentiation between clusters is not only induced by geographic distance between them but also by barriers to gene flow.
Furthermore, the causality of gene co-expression, and the functional relationships between clusters are not explored, which makes it challenging to elucidate biological mechanisms [ 47, 51].
Post hoc tests, Bonferroni-corrected for multiple comparisons, revealed that the visual cluster had a higher median structural type than the fronto-limbic cluster (W = 255.0, z = 2.7, p = 0.0006, αcorr = 0.0008); all other pairwise differences in structural type between the four modality-specific clusters were not significant after correcting for multiple comparisons.
The iron content of the variants varied between 83 108%, reflecting that the FeS clusters were not influenced by the amino acid exchanges at the active site (Table 2).
