Unlike the above, there exists a negative correlation coefficient (− 0.44) between service area coverage and ticket sold, which is also opposite to the hypothesis as service area increases, the number of ticket sold also increases.
Similar to the 400-m walking distance result discussed under 3.4.1 above, the coefficient of the correlation between service area coverage and accessible population (0.37) is positive, and service area coverage and revenue from sold tickets (− 0.40) as well as the accessible population and revenue from sold tickets (− 0.07) are negative.
There have been a great number of works on area coverage, target coverage and barrier coverage.
