One might ask what it was about Trump's racism, tax avoidance and proven mendacity the three Tory MPs had previously found so irresistible, but better that one sinner repenteth etc... Trump might secretly be relieved that Rees-Mogg has dropped out; in the Conservative leadership election, the Somerset MP managed to back the loser time after time.
