The best fitting values of the parameters a, m, n and the regressed SWCC are shown in Fig. 9, in which the dots are the measured values with tensiometer.
In fact, from Eq. 2, we found that, the best fitting values of the relaxation time τ, which were extracted from simulated time courses of extension (Fig. 3 A and B), were about 1.5∼3.2 ps, corresponding to the relative extension x/L of about 1% for HP(2 20) and its four analogues.
The validity of Eq.1 to describe the time-course of extension was shown in Fig. 3, A and B, which indicated that, with the corresponding best fitting values of the relaxation time τ and the spring constant k, the theoretical x/L t course is in good agreement with that by SMD simulation for all of HP(2 20) and its four corresponding analogues.
The suggested value of κ (equal to 0.4) is best fitting value for the stiffness trend at increasing load.
For all types of progression to PID, the best fitting values for the fraction of women progressing to PID are between 8 and 10%.
In the additional model framework the corresponding best fitting values for the fraction of infected women developing PID (f) were in the same range as the main three types of progression (see Additional file 1 Figure A3).
Using a constant value of ( {{A}} = 1.0 times 10^{5},{text{h}}^{ - 1} ) and assuming a constant value of t 0r independent of ( f_{cd}^ ) and T max, the best-fitting value of t 0r was found to be 9.02 h from regression analysis performed on 210 test data.
Figure 8 shows the results of a regression analysis that obtained the ratios of the best-fitting value of S u at T max to that of S u at T r (S ur ) for 15 different cases with 3 different ( f_{cd}^ ) and 5 different T max values.
However, the best-fitting values of fgrow is broadly 1/2-2/3 of those in Table 1.
