The high dose of 4 g + 6 g (60 mg/kg as a loading dose followed by a 16 mg/kg/hour infusion) TA was chosen in our study as the best clinically effective dose used to reduce haemorrhage in high-risk cardiac surgery patients [ 17, 18, 20, 21].
One can only hope that the issues raised – namely what is actually the minimum effective dose, how best to administer possibly partially efficacious doses to reduce the burden of disease, and how to improve vaccine yield – will better prepare us in our ongoing battle with this very old enemy.
Currently, several large yet elusive questions remain to be addressed: (1) optimal delivery approach, (2) best progenitor stem cell type, (3) most effective dose, and (4) timing of administration.
Individual differences in the optimal dose response to stimulant medication means that the best approach is to titrate the dose for each individual, starting at a low dose and increasing to an effective dose, while keeping side effects to a minimum; and should not be determined on a mg/kg basis.
Following preliminary dose-response experiments (not shown), the best effective concentration of 100 µg/ml of each mAb was selected.
Further study needs to be done to determine what the " minimum effective dose" is for each of the various exercise interventions, and how best to combine them.
The best dosimetric functional for its analysis is the blood forming organs dose equivalent but not an effective dose.
However, silibinin possessed the best combination of efficacy in inhibiting Cdk4 signaling and lack of toxicity in treated cells at the effective dose.
To the best of our knowledge the current existing guideline lacks information on the optimal timing, frequency of administration, clinical effective dose and volume, as well as post-injection rehabilitation technique following PRP injection for muscle injury [ 21, 29].
