Indeed, besides the downregulation of HES1, we observed a moderate but measurable upregulation of MASH1 protein level when compared with control-transfected cells (Supplementary Figure S4E).
When considering all HPV types and all age groups combined, besides the association with age, we observed a trend for HPV infection and the lifetime number of sexual partners (Table 1).
