DSM 100043 was, besides the genus Rouxiella in close proximity to a range of other enterobacteria such as Serratia, Rahnella, Yersinia, Ewingella and Hafnia spp. The isolated strain did not show growth at 37 °C, as also reported for its closest 16S rRNA relative (Le Fleche-Mateos et al. 2015) and was therefore assigned to the genus Rouxiella and submitted as Rouxiella sp.
It is sometimes called the European eagle-owl and is, in Europe, where it is the only member of its genus besides the snowy owl (B. scandiacus), occasionally abbreviated to just eagle-owl.
Likewise, neither the other haplosclerid families (Callyspongiidae, Chalinidae, Petrosiidae, Phloeodictyidae), nor the genera (Callyspongia, Haliclona, Petrosia) could be recovered as monophyletic, (besides of the genus Petrosia) in accordance with the SSU-rRNA based findings of Redmond et al. [ 41].
S. maltophilia, the genus type species, besides its biotechnological importance (nitrogen fixing, stimulation of plant growth), has gained clinical importance in the last two decades, being the only specie of the genus Stenotrophomonas found in the environment and also as an opportunistic human pathogen [ 1, 3, 4].
Therefore, there seem to be no additional rearrangements of the HOM-C in D. buzzatii besides those already described in the genus Drosophila (Negre and Ruiz 2007).
The data presented here, besides furthering our understanding of genome organization in the genus Oryza, will aid in the assembly, annotation and analysis of genomic data, as part of the future genome sequencing projects of O. sativa wild relatives.
The most common bacterial families besides Streptococcaceae were found Moraxellaceae, Corynebacteriaceae, Pasteurellaceae (including the genus Haemophilus) and Staphylococcaceae (Shak et al. 2013; Pettigrew et al. 2008), which colonize nasopharynx for the first months of life.
Therefore, besides an agronomic application, other biotechnological uses of this genus will also be reported during this review showing the potential of these facultative pink-pigmented methylotrophic genera.
However, besides their widely known ability to produce antibiotics, representatives of the Gram-positive genus Streptomyces have been found in beneficial associations with plants, including those of agronomic importance [64, 142 144].
