Glimmerglass Opera APRIL 8 -- Members of the Glimmerglass Opera will perform at the Waldorf-Astoria at a black-tie dinner dance to benefit the company and its educational programs and performances.
Singers at the Pierre MAY 1 -- Tony Bennett will be honored and Rosemary Clooney will perform at the annual spring dinner-dance to benefit the research, advocacy, education and patient-service programs of the American Cancer Society.
A dinner-dance to benefit the group will be held on Thursday at 6 30 p.m. at the Davenport Club in New Rochelle, where the soprano Anna Moffo will be honored, and the baritone Robert Merrill, a New Rochelle resident, will be the host.
But it's not necessary and you could have an even better time making up elaborate dance routines that will benefit the body with your mates.
The performances are a benefit for the dance department of the High School of Performing Arts.
The next afternoon at the beach estate of Loida Nicolas Lewis, the former chief executive of TLC Beatrice International Holdings, Ms. Jedell attended a barbecue benefit for the Dance Theater of Harlem.
"Dancing for Life!," a performance series benefiting DRA, the dance-related wing of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, opened the two-week NYC Festival of Dance on Wednesday in Bryant Park.
