These results give ICER of £13 660 per QALY gained for the regional campaign and £18 173 for the national campaign, which are below NICE's threshold range of £20 000–30 000 per QALY, suggesting that the early awareness campaign was potentially cost-effective to the UK NHS (NICE, 2013).
