There were no significant differences between the above-the-median and below-the-median groups, in regard to the number of cytotoxic T cells in the tumor islets or tumor stroma, or the ratio of the cell number in the tumor islets versus the cell number in stroma (P = 0.094, 0.287, and 0.295, respectively, Figure 4b-d).

Seventy-one of the 79 individuals identified as 'High and and 'Low agreedreed to take part in Study 2.
