To the Editor: This letter is in response to "Cancún's Damage Includes Its Image," an article by Elisabeth Malkin and James C. McKinley Jr. (Nov. 6), which I believe misrepresented Mexico's hurricane preparedness and response efforts as well as the ability of our government to rebuild the areas affected by Hurricane Wilma.
Harm reductionists, researchers and drug policy experts took issue with the op-ed, which they believe misrepresented the available evidence about safe injection sites and trafficked in incorrect claims. .
But a spokesman for the governor, Michael McKeon, said that the governor's staff would object to any advertisement that it believes misrepresents the governor's position.
But this new medium also creates a series of what-if's for the parties: What if a well-meaning Web site contains information the candidate or party believes misrepresents it?
Pompliano believes Snap misrepresented because a significant portion of the suit has been redacted.

Having worked in the tech, food and health worlds for most of my career, I believe the article misrepresented the significant progress being made across the industry.
