To get a clear picture on the influence of the formed Fe16N2 phase on magnetic properties of the samples, Figure S5 in supplementary section shows the hysteresis loops before ion implantation and before post-annealing.
We isolated swarmer cells and incubated them in M2 medium lacking glucose for 15 min before collecting samples (Figure 3A).
