The incidence and extent of fumonisins contamination of home-stored maize for human consumption in Tanzania was reported with levels up to 11.048 mg/kg (Kimanya et al. 2008), and levels up to 2.283 mg/kg in maize based complementary food (Kimanya et al., 2014).
