The newly identified cofactors are involved in regulating processes in which Tup1 has been previously implicated, including pseudohyphal growth (Phd1)[25], salt tolerance (Cin5, Yap6)[27], [27], and oxidative stress (Cin5, Skn7)[29], [29].
Many genes associated with glutamateric neurotransmission have been previously implicated in schizophrenia, including GRM3, GRIN2A, SRR and GRIA1 [16].
Moreover, several of these adhesion factors have been previously implicated in carcinogenesis, including TM4SF and CEACAM family members (Scholzel et al, 2000; Wright et al, 2000; Ilantzis et al, 2002), CDH17 (Grotzinger et al, 2001; Takamura et al, 2004), and LGALS4 (Huflejt and Leffler, 2004).

Three other members of the Glypican family have been previously implicated in human disease, including cardiac conditions.
In addition, many of the miRNAs listed in Table 1 have also been previously implicated in brain diseases, including Alzheimers disease (AD), Parkinsons disease (PD), Huntingtons disease (HD), and various other neurodegenerative disorders [ 38, 39].

Analysis of microarray profiles of Hec50 endometrial cells in which miR-200c had been re-expressed revealed several additional genes that were potential targets of miR-200c and which had been previously implicated in cell motility, including the extracellular matrix protein fibronectin 1 and the actin-organizing protein moesin.
