Clearly, subgroups 9 (ERBB2 subtype) and 10 (basal subtype) were the more robust since most of the external tumours, which had been previously classified as ERBB2 and basal subtypes using the 500-gene intrinsic subset, were now assigned to subgroups 9 and 10, respectively.
