"We only played girls teams because there were no other women's teams," she said.
"Ambition because you want to win, humility as well because we know we have only played six games and to speak about the title is absolutely ridiculous.
At least Ian bothered to do research, and wait till I was awake and then talk to everyone I reckon I ever knew, and, yes, we teased him a little by setting fire to him now and again and throwing him off the boat in Crete, but he recovered very well, and took it all in good heart, because he knew we were only playing, and we all wish him well, and hope he'll be out of hospital soon.
"They thought I was strange playing rugby, because they only play soccer," he said.
"You play a lot more pressure-packed points in World Team Tennis because you only play first to five and it's also no-ad," Reynolds said.
"This new stuff is interesting because I only play on three of the tracks and J does everything else: all of the instruments and everything.
The great teams are going in this direction: three defenders, of which only one is a 'proper' defender, because teams only play with one up front and then a lot of players in the middle of the park".
And because they only play zero sum games, they are comfortable going right to the precipice, leaning over the edge, dangling their siblings by their shoelaces and worse.
"The confidence [amongst the team] is 100 percent, because we're not only playing for today, we're playing for tomorrow," he said.
