They didn't stop for the rest of the weekend — not just because the weather remained mostly tolerable, but also because the second half of this festival served as a reminder of how dance music has become the most exciting emergent narrative in pop.
About time, too, because results at this Festival before Big Buck's won yesterday's World Hurdle have threatened to start an exodus.
"I was motivated to organize this festival because foreign films, once popular on campuses, have become a rarity," he said.
"We participated in this festival because we are concerned about the environment and we feel responsible towards it," said Ismail al-Kafi, an agricultural engineer from Ihtimam.

Moroccan master filmmaker Ahmed El Maanouni (whose masterpiece rockumentary Trances screened at MENow) put it perfectly when he said "I like the word 'now' in the title of this festival, because it's about today, the Middle East now".
It's the first narrative feature from Oscar-winning documentarian Jessica Yu. "We're so excited about opening this festival, because it's home, and over the years we've had films at the festival and a lot of involvement," Yu says.
