"bears mention" is a correct and usable phrase in written English
It is often used to indicate that something is worth mentioning or deserves attention. Here are a few examples: 1. "The young artist's stunning performance bears mention, as she effortlessly captured the audience's hearts." 2. "In her research paper, the author bears mention to the influence of social media on youth culture." 3. "While many issues were discussed in the meeting, one topic that bears special mention is the company's environmental sustainability efforts." 4. "No discussion about literature would be complete without bearing mention to the significant contributions of Shakespeare."
