Venoms were manually extracted into plastic beakers, transferred to cryovials, fast frozen on dry ice, and then stored at -30 °C until use.
The extracted ether complex which was inside the beaker was transferred to another separatory funnel and then 16 ml HCl 25% (v/v) was added to it.
