If "essence" designates what a thing is and "existence" that it is, it follows that what is intelligible about any given thing, what can be thought about it, will belong to its essence.
Every day there are new things to be thought about it.
The first is the "realistic conception of Being," which is defined by the conception of being as completely independent of thought, so that whatever is true of it is true quite independently of what may be thought about it.
