Liver fat contents under 20% are required for donor livers [ 63].
Irregular retro-corneal surface is one of the contraindications of DSAEK surgery since perfect smoothness is required for donor host attachment.
In cases of DMEK, preparation of graft immediately prior to transplantation is possible with the help of commercially available, inexpensive devices whereas larger investments are required for donor preparation in such situations in DSAEK cases.
Several domains in Asc10 have been previously identified and characterized [15], [16], including two aggregation domains that are required for donor-recipient binding, and two RGD motifs that play an important role in endocarditis pathogenesis, possibly involving immune evasion (Fig. 1).
For studies involving different donors, whole genome and transcriptome sequencing would be required for each donor and their tissues, significantly adding to the overall cost and labor requirements.

Further detailed analyses will be required for decision whether donor's ages of feeder cells are important or not.
HSCs might be required for obtaining microglia replacement by the donor because they comprise a cell subpopulation able to replace the intraparenchymal microglia precursors that are eliminated upon myeloablative conditioning, rather than because they ensure long-term hematopoietic donor engraftment in the BM [ 3, 19].
A related question concerns the handling of so-called bridge donors, who may be required for scheduling reasons to donate weeks or months after their loved ones have already received transplants.
There is also a need for donors to accept that additional funding will be required for effective coordination.
