Though the cases were divergent, based on sampling time and patient addresses, the DENV-4 isolates were determined to be from the same origin.
Before the occurrence of the first terrestrial plant, which were present about 475 million years ago [ 46], the PHT1 subfamily II has been divergent based on the phylogenic tree (Additional file 4), indicating the direct Pi acquisition pathway was the main Pi acquisition pathway of ancient plants.
Accounting for such tax features can be important, as prior theoretical literature indicates that severance payments are a critical component of managerial compensation contracts, particularly in turbulent times when CEO turnover decisions occur more frequently.29 Another interesting topic might be divergent tax bases that distort optimal decision making as they create profit shifting incentives.

The same observation could be made for the pathovar phaseoli strain CFBP6987, that was evolutionary divergent based on rpoD sequencing (Figure 1) but indistinguishable from other strains of the genetic lineage 1 of the pathovar phaseoli based on T3E repertoires (Figure 3).
In the T. japonicus ABCC subfamily, 10 TJ-ABCC proteins were identified as ABCC1 isoforms, suggesting that the TJ-ABCC1 subfamily is highly divergent based on adaptation to environmental stress.
Genes that share considerable sequence similarity, thus scored presence based on the microarray hybridisation, but were considered divergent (based on BLAST bit scores) [ 16] can also explain the observed low specificities and low PPVs for the second data set (including all the spots).
The parental lines belonged to distinct heterotic groups (L3, flint and L22, dent) [ 43], were genetically divergent based on SNP markers [ 44] and contrasted for grain yield in low-P soil [ 45] and for root morphology traits in nutrient solution [ 46].
Although this gives in general a reliable prediction of gene presence or divergence, it is possible that two genes with significant stretches of sequence similarity will be classified as divergent based on bit-scores, e.g., when two genes differ in size due to differences in repeat numbers.
