Diffusion images will be acquired using single-shot echo planar multi-direction diffusion-weighted sequence, employing dual bipolar diffusion gradient and double spin.
Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) was acquired using single shot echo-planar imaging, with a 12 channel head coil (TR 12200 ms, TE 94 ms, 72 axial slices, 2 mm thickness, isotropic voxels).

On all bio-fluids, standard one-dimensional (1D) H NMR spectra were acquired using single 90° pulse experiment with a total of 64 scans and a relaxation decay of 5 s.

Delivery input functions (C in(t)) can be measured in a Langendorff perfused heart with a γ-detector coupled to the inflow line, while time-activity curves in the heart (C tiss(t)) can be acquired using a single γ-detector interrogating the entire isolated perfused heart (see Figure 1).
