The basis of the categorisation was the definition of social science provided in a recent report [ 18] which states, "[T]he relevance of these [social science] disciplines to public health and disease control is in... the applied areas of anthropology, demography, economics, human geography, psychology, politics, history, law, social policy, and sociology".
There were issues relating to both Affect and Appreciation such as the negative polarity assignment for Surprise, the irrealis and realis trigger basis for the categorisation of Fear under Dis/Inclination (Affect) and the unclear distinction between Impact and Quality in the system of Appreciation.
To summarise, the crucial requirement to copy large networks is a phase without external sensory stimulus in which (i) depolarisation of the neuron can be categorised as coming from either intra-layer or inter-layer afferents and, (ii) collateral (output) gating can limit the outgoing spike to inter-layer collaterals on the basis of this categorisation.
