Based on seed site enrichment analyses and unbiased word analyses, we found a significant enrichment of miRNA binding sites in the 3'-untranslated regions (UTRs) of transcripts down-regulated upon miRNA overexpression.
These ad hoc families are based on "seeds," or unassigned regions that do not belong to any known family.
Studies on 3'UTR allow us to experimentally validate hypothetical miRNAs that are based on its seed region match with the conserved target sites.
In some of algorithm based on seed-based approach [1,6,18], this work reliability is based on the road seed pixels.
