In order to assess the reliability of every individual time constraint, we conducted a cross-validation, whereby we relaxed constraints one by one, and estimated divergence dates of relaxed constraints based on all other constraints (Fig. 2).
Those differences are based on other factors.
The proposed procedure aims at determining sets of additional measurements (besides available ones) that guarantee the identifiability of key process variables, which means that their value can be calculated from other, measured variables, based on available constraints in the form of linear mass balances.
