This paper presents a novel Subgraph Query technique Based on Clique feature, called SQBC, which integrates the carefully designed clique encoding with the existing vertex encoding [40] as the basic index unit to reduce the search space.
Gao and Wong [ 36] use a definition based on "clique percolation," meaning that any dense subgraph must satisfy the property that one could reach all of the vertices by taking a clique of size 4 in the subgraph and changing one vertex at a time to form another clique of size 4 until every vertex has been touched.
Here we apply a graph clustering algorithm based on clique percolation clustering to detect overlapping network modules of a protein protein interaction (PPI) network.
Palla et al. proposed the algorithm CPM based on clique percolation method [ 15].
CFinder [ 11] is based on Clique Percolation Method (CPM) [ 12], which defines a protein complex as a union of k-cliques that share (k-1) vertices.
In order to conquest these shortcomings, an algorithm called CP-DR (Clique Percolation Method based on Distance Restriction) for identifying protein complexes based on clique percolation and distance restriction is proposed in this paper.
A novel method based on clique search in a multipartite graph [ 18] was used to identify conserved motifs.
We then performed hierarchical clustering on the complex members and a clustering based on clique membership on the additional proteins that strongly interact with the complex members.
Meanwhile, we introduce two approaches of predicting PPIs based on cliques, Yu et al. [ 11] and Yang and Tang [ 12], to contrast with the performance of our algorithm.
Cliques were then scored based on these features.
