This article reviews studies of computer and Internet-based interventions for smoking behavior, published between 1995 and August 2004.
Previous trials of stage-based interventions for smoking cessation [ 53– 57] and trials of Internet interventions for smokers motivated to quit [ 11, 58] suggest that quit rates for motivated smokers may be as high as 20%% (treatment) and 9 % (control).
