Brazil's political establishment is bracing for the imminent publication of the plea bargain statements of up to 80 employees of the country's biggest engineering firm, Odebrecht, stemming from the company's role in the Petrobras scandal.
The former speaker of the lower house of Congress, whose political rights have not been suspended, has allegedly received R$522 million in 36 installments, according to an accusation in one of the numerous plea bargain statements.
Yet he later claimed that he had "campaigned" on the proposal to end collective bargaining, a statement that earned him a "false" from Politifact.
Lee Schlender, another attorney representing the victim in the civil case, said the victim's parents were "outraged" by the plea bargain and the statements made by the prosecutor.
Three days later, he told Fox News that he intended to use Taiwan as a bargaining chip, a statement that managed to alienate both Taiwan and China.
"We fought Roger Goodell's suspension of Tom Brady because we know he did not serve as a fair arbitrator and that players' rights were violated under our collective bargaining agreement," the statement read.
"We support our employees' decision to organize and have been working with them in good faith to negotiate a collective bargaining agreement," the statement read.
Mr. Hicks has claimed he was mentally and physically abused at Guant?mo, but his plea bargain included a signed statement that he was never mistreated.
In response, White went on-line and claimed that the Rockets were not holding up their end of the bargain, issuing the following statement: In hindsight, perhaps it was not a good idea to be open and honest about my anxiety disorder, due to the current situations at hand that involve the nature of actions from the Houston Rockets.
"Because C.S.A. is currently negotiating for a new contract, it is inappropriate to discuss any concepts that may become part of the collective bargaining process," Ms. Levy's statement said.
