The culture independent analysis of eubacterial 16S rRNA gene showed that organically cropped farms and orchards had more diverse bacterial community compared to the conventional.
The structure of the bacterial communities in the nests was significantly affected by the treatments (Adonis analysis, Bray-Curtis distance; df = 49; R = 0.10; p = 0.007), with a significant difference between TSB and control treatments (Table 2), whereas Nisin had no significant effect on bacterial community structure compared to the control treatment (Table 2).
IBS patients shared around 68% of gut predominant species, and thus also displayed an even more diverse bacterial community amongst individuals, compared to controls.
Bacteria in aquatic, subsurface and soil environments tend to attach to surfaces, thus biofilm communities may be a better model for bacterial toxicity, compared to planktonic cells [124].
This finding does not appear surprising given the typical greater complexity of bacterial compared to archaeal communities.

Moreover, mothers and fathers shared more similar bacterial communities in their guts compared to unrelated individuals living in other households (Yatsunenko et al., 2012), indicating that a shared environment or lifestyle (e.g., contact with same microbial sources or diet) affects the similarity of the fecal microbiota.
However, formaldehyde lowered bacterial community diversity, and changed the bacterial and fungal community composition when compared to the control.
This may also explain the lack of creanarchaeal community covariation with annual radiation compared to bacterial and fungal communities (Fig. 3b c).
