Indeed, agarose gel electrophoresis showed that the CTAB-purified genomic DNA from both wild-type and Roundup Ready soybean leaves migrates as a high molecular weight band (estimated at about 20 kb), without the presence of major degradation (visible as background smears) (data not shown).
