Increased numbers of laboratory-confirmed and notified cases, compared with average influenza seasons, could be partly explained by much greater levels of public awareness, medical consultation and laboratory testing [3].
Facilitators to enhance provision included: strategies to increase consumer awareness, longer consultation times and counseling appointments, and improvements to pharmacy software technology and workflow.
"The new policy will be considered by cabinet after these comprehensive public awareness and consultations are completed," said O'Neill.
"The prime minister, Peter O'Neill, announced on 19 October that we will conduct a comprehensive program of public awareness raising and consultation about refugee resettlement before developing a new national refugee settlement policy for cabinet's endorsement," he said.
"These new deals have been done with no public awareness, no public consultation, no democratic engagement, no scrutiny and no impact assessment," he said, adding that the plans amounted to a "treasury-led fiscal decentralisation" rather than a democratic devolution of powers.
Strategic action areas were identified through the consultation: awareness raising, the relevant role of the private sector and support mechanisms by governments in order to facilitate smallholder effective organization along with the role played by consumers.
