The phrase "aware of improper" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when discussing someone's knowledge or consciousness of something that is not appropriate or acceptable.
Example: "The manager was aware of improper conduct among the staff and decided to take action."
Alternatives: "conscious of inappropriate" or "cognizant of unprofessional".
