During the six month period the left-leaning current affairs title – which celebrates its 100th anniversary in April – averaged a weekly circulation of 24,910, according to the latest Audit Bureau of Circulations figures published on Thursday.
The Bauer title remains the second best-selling paid-for men's magazine, behind Men's Health, which averaged a monthly circulation of 216,336, down 2.2% on the previous six months and 0.9% year on year.
With an average circulation of 1.26 million, Condé Nast's Vogue is a far bigger magazine than W, a Fairchild fashion magazine that has a circulation of 464,000, but they both compete in a limited universe of fashion-advertising dollars.
Real Simple from Time Inc., after a halting start, is now at a full gallop, with ad pages up 58percentt so far this year and an average circulation of over a million in the first half of the year.
It owns El País, which has an average daily circulation of a little more than 402,000, and several television and radio stations.
Market leader TV Choice posted an average weekly circulation of 1,362,384, a 4.6% year-on-year increase and a 4% increase on the previous six months, according to the latest Audit Bureau of Circulations figures published today.
For newspapers delivered on Sundays, The New York Times led with an average circulation of 2,003,247, an increase of 49.56 percent.
But The Times, with an average weekday circulation of almost a million readers, is by far the largest Tribune paper.
The satirical magazine Private Eye, in second place overall, remains the sector's premier print publication with an average fortnightly circulation of 219,465 – a 2.1% drop on last year.
It is followed up in third place by Dennis Publishing's the Week, which had an average UK circulation of 190,202, a small rise of 0.9% on the same figure last year.
