The phrase "average plot in" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when discussing a typical or standard storyline within a specific context, such as literature, film, or video games.
Example: "The movie follows an average plot in which the hero must overcome various obstacles to save the day."
Alternatives: "typical storyline in" or "standard narrative in".
These plots are known as MVA or MA (minus versus average) plots in the gene expression literature and have been utilized intensively to assess presence of abundance-dependent bias [ 27].
The percent signal change shown here is based on the initial baseline value, and as such the initial value at the onset of activation in these average plots may be affected by the slow return to baseline of the undershoot and any variations that occur between stimulus periods.
