The company grew out of a Stanford University Law School and Computer Science Department project named the IP Litigation Clearinghouse IPLCC), which at the time mapped every electronically available patent litigation event and outcome.
"With so much available venture litigation money available in other words, attorneys who won big in tobacco, asbestos, breast implant and other major litigations we will probably see a number of lawsuits underwritten by other lawyers against Microsoft," says computer attorney Jack Russo.
So without a job and with the crushing burden of student loan debt, recent law graduates are turning to the one source of income available: frivolous litigation.
Furthermore judicial precedents, the need for witnesses not to fear retaliatory litigation, available perjury remedies, and secrecy considerations for grand jury witnesses favored this result.
"The Legislative Assembly before it adjourns should appropriate dollars for a litigation fund available to the attorney general," the governor suggested.
"The parties have the ability to engage very talented attorneys -- the cream of the crop in the state -- who properly make use of all the tools available, which prolongs the litigation".
The problem with this type of challenge is that it was traditionally only available late in the litigation process, after the accused had to go through most of the expense of discovery and expert reports (everything except for trial).
The disparity between top-of-the-line Cochrane Reviews based on published articles and the totality of proprietary scientific evidence made available in the process of litigation can be enormous.
He explained: "If anyone disagrees with an assessment they can appeal, but it's to somebody internal to that health board and if that's not successful the next avenue they have available is to proceed to litigation.
The documents, which were obtained through court-ordered discovery in the litigation, are also available as part of a long list of Roundup court case documents compiled by the consumer group I work for, U.S. Right to Know.
