Furthermore there is a tendency to think that the widespread availability of data and data tools represent a democratisation of the analysis and interpretation of data.
Just as availability of particular spaces defines and shapes new work, so the availability of particular pots of money means that the idea becomes in thrall to the arithmetic.
The availability of particular collaborators and equipment at particular times in this case study, as in every project, affected the order, type, and dates of data acquisition (see Fig. 2, [3]).
Anticipating risks is often hampered by limitations in scientific knowledge or in availability of data, in particular, in cases where a complex process of change is continuing (e.g. climate change) or a new technological context is added to an established interaction network.
Moreover, because of data logistics and availability some MONDO data, in particular data from a large German provider and some smaller academic providers, were not included in the current analysis.
Indeed, a strength of survival analysis is that it can successfully be applied to each of these different policy problems simply by coding a 'failure' in different ways – for example, as leaving a particular ASGC-RA, or as leaving rural NSW or even as leaving the medical profession – depending on the availability of requisite data and the particular policy question being asked.
At the individual level, it is obvious that the ability to handle any HLA molecule that a given patient might have irrespective of the availability of specific data for a particular HLA haplotype in question is an enabling technology for individualized immunotherapy and diagnostics.
